    Side window adhesive

I just did this on my 67 Imperial HT. used the 1/32 inch tape from Restoration Specialties. I had to first clean out the channel. It had hardened tape / rubber. I scraped it out with a razor blade and then used acetone to clean the channel. Worked fine. You can find good videos on Utube.

    1966 IMPERIAL | WINDOW MOTORS

I bought this for my '67. It fit. The motors were generally the same from '67 to '72, as I understand it.

    WANTED 67 / 68 chrome

I am looking for chrome pieces for my 67 Imperial: grille (not center, but the upper and lower long, narrow grill pieces.) Also, rear tail light chrome bezels. I have these parts, but looking for pieces without pitting. thanks

Best suggestions for period floor mats

How does your 65 have pristine carpet? The carpet on my grandfather's 67 Imperial (now mine) was destroyed, and it was always garaged. Seems like carpet tends to not age well. Nice to hear some survive.

    Radio upgrading

Can they utilize the floor button search function on the Imperials radios? Have to have that!

Good point. The sample is from under the seats. As you can see, it is on the darker side.

I ordered carpet samples from Stock Interiors. Blue is hard to match. The circled one is the original. I'm thinking #2 is best bet. It's a bit lighter than the original but it is a loop. The piece on the left is the leather upholstery. Thoughts? For a 67 Imperial Crown

    Wood experts needed

Didn't realize you had a 69. I'm not too familiar with those. ( although our family car growing up was a '69 Newport 2-door. I leaned to drive on it.) You can try this guy. He does woodgraining on old car interiors, and also has how-do books. Sounds expensive though. I originally contacted him...

There is some good information on the old Imperial Club site about coloring the walnut. I order unstained walnut, then colored it as discussed in this posting. Repair Information About Your (Chrysler) Imperial Wood Inteior Pieces

    JFK Funeral Limo 1964 Imperial

I believe Eisenhower had an Imperial limo as well. The Kennedy's seemed to be Imperial fans in the 60's.

    Interior paint colors

Any idea how to find paint for the metal tops of the Imperial (67) interior door panel? It appears to be a dark blue metalic. I looked through the various interior color charts and don't see a reference.

Your thoughts on paint color change 1966 Imperial convertible

My wife’s BMW is a very dark blue color, almost black. Your convertible would look gorgeous in deep blue. My opinion is that if the extra money takes away from other things restoration tasks you would otherwise do on the car, then leave it gold, which is very attractive. If money is no object...

restore and color interior leather and vinyl

One of my pet peeves with these older cars (at least mid-60s Imperials) is the wear I see on the interior vinyl door glove box covers (called a “pad” in the parts catalog). My door panels are almost perfect, but the door storage “doors” are badly worn. I bought a leather and vinyl restoration...
