no damage on a 5mph impact?

I hit my mom's 68 Imperial with my 70 Challenger. The passenger side big axe on the rear put a dent in my front bumper! Mom came running out of the house and was almost made until she saw zero damage to her Imperial and the dent in my bumper. Then she started laughing at me and my puny car! This...

    Mice and wiring

I have three cats in my barn were my tools and two Mopars are. Besides the three of them, the only living thing I have found in the barn are a couple of spiders that are in places the cats can't get. No rats, mice, flies, moths, etc. My 64 Imperial has no rodent damage even though it set outside...

    evans waterless coolant

Last I looked, glycol is indeed flammable! And it's proven to make your engine run 20 to 30 degrees hotter. Be sure to run some kind of oxide inhibitor if you have any aluminum parts (cylinder heads, water pump, water pump housing, etc) because it corrodes that too! And it is a fact that it is...

    evans waterless coolant

Water cools better! Water is the liquid of life! The waterless coolant is flammable, runs at a lower pressure (+7 psi instead of 15 or 16 psi) and will actually make your engine run at a higher operating temperature. Stick with water and a little anti-freeze.

    Low Compression 440 Build Questions

You have a lot of possibilities, but the best bang for the buck is higher compression pistons! Even a stock 440 HP cam and heads will make a lot more power than anything with the lower compression pistons! For a distributor, I'd highly recommend getting in contact with Halifaxhops who rebuilds...

67 Fury - removing wheel studs from rear left drum?

Fat fingers and auto correct! Sigh! Should have been "weakening".

    Low Compression 440 Build Questions

If I wanted to build a relative cheap low compression 440 to make the power you're after, I'd buy a set of higher compression pistons (like Speed Pro L2235F) and change the rod and main bearings and use a set of plain fast iron rings. Use 320 grit sandpaper to knock the glaze of the cylinder...

    Low Compression 440 Build Questions

Stroker every time! The 505/512 4.25" stroker kit from 440 Source is the way to go. Might as well slap a pair of 440 source Stealth heads on it as well!

    Low Compression 440 Build Questions

How deep into the engine do you want to go? Obviously higher compression pistons will go a long way for making torque and horsepower! Please provide more details on how far you willing to go. I can provide information for a full rebuild or simple camshaft and valve spring swap depending on how...

[1966 Fury II] 383 to 440 Engine mount question

For the exhaust, just use longer flange bolts and an exhaust donut gasket. The difference in height is about 1/2" or so.

67 Fury - removing wheel studs from rear left drum?

The correct way to do it is remove the axle and press the old studs out and press the new studs in using a press. Anything else is a compromise. You risk stripping/awakening the treads using a lug nut. to pull the studs into the axle flange.

    64 Imperial Fires Up

Been working on installing the front disc brakes, but took a break from that to surface the transmission. One of the things I like to do on all Mopars with a 727 is install a later 518/46rh transmission pan and extended pickup. As most of you know, and for those of you who don't, 64 727...

    '66 Imperial Brake Drums

I just got all the parts for a disc brake swap for my 64 Imperial using the AAJ info and adaptors. In this day and age, I see no reason to run drum brakes on the front, especially when you're missing good drums! Also, I noticed on Rockauto there are some PowerStop shoes that are 11 1/32"...
