NOT MINE NOS Budd Disc Brake Lower Ball Joints.

I swear it was there 2 minutes ago. $225 each for left and right in Mopar boxes. How do you delete a post? Kevin

Loving life! 2 years since my 67 Imperial GM full-size Disc Brake upgrade!

My 71 Imperial has single piston calipers. They come up the same part# as a 71 New Yorker. Kevin

    Gearvendor in a mid -70's C Body?

Maybe someone could sell you just the shorter output shaft. You would probably want to freshen up the trans you were going to use anyway and the output is last thing out when you disassemble it and the first thing in on assembly. Kevin

    Gearvendor in a mid -70's C Body?

I think you have this confused with the A518/RH46 transmission swap. The GV uses the stock output shaft so the overdrive unit itself would be located behind that. The adapter housing is designed to use the factory mount. To keep the overall length of the trans as short as possible, I would...

    66 fury wagon windshield

Go to a good independent shop. Give them this NAGS#, DW 657 GBN. You will know you are at a good shop if they know what a NAGS# is. Hardtops and convertibles take that same windshield from 65 to 68, for all C bodies. IIRC, the GBN in that number dictates the type of tint, so verify it's the...

Loving life! 2 years since my 67 Imperial GM full-size Disc Brake upgrade!

I don’t think anything after 68 has Budd calipers. My 71 LeBaron has single piston calipers. Have you thought about doing a bracket to mount that GM caliper to a Cbody drum spindle and use the small bearing 11.75 Mopar rotor? The 3" piston would allow you to keep the drum booster which is...

    Differential gear change?

Did the car come with 15's? I'd verify your speedo. Lots of GPS apps for phones out there. I think 15s were an option but 14s were the norm by and large, especially on a Plymouth or Dodge. If someone swapped it to 15s and didn't change the speedo gear in the transmission, you could be...

    Differential gear change?

14" tires? Change it out to 235/75/15, keep the 3.23. It will drop your rpm @ 60 to 2250. Kevin

The bad news is, they are harder to find than the hard top windshield. Those can be had anywhere for reasonable money. Kevin

    resized rods. face has dings

BBC rods were used for BBM strokers when there weren't any reasonably priced Mopar rods to be had. A BBC rod is .025 thinner than an LY rod. I believe that would increase side clearance by .025" unless I'm seeing it wrong, and untold numbers of those combos ran/run just fine. .017" max...

    resized rods. face has dings

The reason excessive side clearance causes oil pressure and windage issues is a myth is because the bearing clearance is what dictates the amount of oil "leaking". You have a .0015" - .002" gap feeding a .030" - .040" gap. That's like feeding your garden hose into a fire hose. It's not making...

For a stock application, those nicks are not an issue. If this was a full tilt race application, theoretically, a crack could start at one of those nicks and cause a failure. Odds on the Lottery are probably better than that scenario tho. Some machinists as has been commented on here, are...

Swapping out a 1971 8¼ rear for a 1969 8¾ rear. Doable or go on the hunt for the correct rear?

Make sure the spring pad center to center is the same and it should bolt in. The next concern will be driveshaft length. If both cars are the same wheelbase and same trans ie 904 or 727, the shaft from the 69 should work. I'm assuming the length is different 8.25 diff vs 8.75. Kevin

68’ 300 OEM disc swap question

Rockauto shows a Part# for a 73 Newport brake booster, but not for a 73 Imperial. That may or may not mean something. Pull your Imperial one and see what if anything is different. Kevin

68’ 300 OEM disc swap question

If your 300 is console shift, the booster should/may work, if it will bolt into the space. I'm assuming it's the same booster that would be on any 73 Cbody and not bigger in diameter because it's on an Imperial, even tho they were a unibody Cbody after 1966. The bigger single diaphragm disc...
