Thanks Bud. I actually have all the chrome for it, but the side piece clips won't hold it on secure enough. Rather just take it off than risk losing it on the hiway. In other news, I'm going to list this on CL soon if no one wants first stab here.

Yes, single exhaust. All trim on tail light assy is present. The grille trim is somewhat there but some pieces are damaged but fixable and will need the little clips replaced that hold it on.I can get some interior pix. Help me out here....double pickle? Am I on the right forum? Heh. Its cloth...

I have the same color and year Yorker. Mine also has those same pinstripes (same color too). I have the single snorkel with single exhaust. And yes, stickers are lame. I won't advertise for a company unless I'm getting paid by them somehow.

Hey folks, 71 New Yorker needs a new ignition switch (the one on the column activated by the little steel rod). Having one hell of a time finding it even online. Can you guys share where you found yours? Or does anyone have a spare, working original for cheap? Thanks Trav

Yes, I have vac trunk release. Which seems to work despite the ancient vac lines going to the tuna can. Sounds like I need to keep this stuff alive instead of ripping it out.

Tuna can has red arrow pointing to it. And you're right, the vac amp is that thing that looks like a hockey puck near the valve covers. So whats the black globe thing (circled yellow)?

Could be, but the vacuum amplifier black globe thing sits proudly on the inner fender by the alternator. I'll have to take pix of this thing to show you.

Hey folks, Anyone know what the tuna can lookin deal is up under the passenger front fender on a 71 Yorker? It has 2 very tiny vacuum hoses on it. Is it a primitive charcoal canister? I'm very familiar with the A-body type cans and know they help prevent the garage from filling up with gas...

I have a guy at work who would like to 3D print a bottle for me, but I had a hard time finding someone to loan me a master bottle to use for dimensions. This can be done, just need someone to ship a bottle to WA state for a few months to work the bugs out.

Ross is right. They are GM produced. I haven't removed one completely but merely tore one apart. Never again. There are bigger things to worry about on these cars than the damn shifter. But that's just me. Worst case, drive the pin out from the column shift arm, and remove the linkage and be done.

Whats the story behind the red dots? Is that where Chrysler engineered the cars to start rusting?
