Question on transmission lines and fluids

I just went through this myself. I had a leaky steel line where someone had spliced in a union years ago and that was the source of my leak. I removed the old line and used it as a template. I remade a new steel line using 5/16 line, double flared the ends and added the connector ends, leak fixed!

Steering wheel wants to turn right while idling, steering gear adustment or front-end alignment?

I had this problem in my Newport after replacing the steering gear. A slight adjustment of the steering gear valve body corrected the problem. Here’s a great video showing correctly how to fix it. watch video from 7:28 onward

Transmission cooler lines mismatch from inline tube.

We’ll I thought I ordered the correct line from inline tube. Said it was for a C body. As you can see my original line is much longer. Anyone know of a source with the correct length? If you look closely on my stock line someone had connected a union which leaks like a sive, which is why I’m...

Ivy my 68 Sport Fury gets a 440 swap!

Exactly right in this case with this particular car it was the same. All I needed for the swap was the 440 engine mounts and it bolted right into the car. No modifications were made to the stub frame.

yes, surprisingly it went in fairly easy. The hood tilts up nearly vertically and we did remove the radiator for more clearance. yeah, correction I think we tried to install with the hood on and the cherry picker arm got in the way so we removed the hood. It was way easier to install without...
