had no problem running hot till i put a 180 high flow thermostat in. put a 180 standard flow thermostat back in and ran normal temp again. if coolant flows too fast in the radiator, it can't remove the heat

the only solution is to break off the contact from the off switch or just pull the off switch button when your not using the system. pulling the off button will break the contact to the compressor

had the same vacuum switch. its made to power the compressor in off position. i opened it up and removed the contacts behind the off button. problem solved

80 for me with bias ply tires, handles just fine. all front end parts factory original

i drive my 69 new yorker once a month from new york to maryland doing 80 mph for 400 miles on bf goodrich bias belted tires. no issues.
