Ivy my 68 Sport Fury gets a 440 swap!

Yes on stub frame. It was optioned with the 318, 383, 400 and 440. So makes sense either would work. Only difference is the 318 did not come standard with a sway bar. It could be added. The others did. Happy it all worked out and you definitely have a nice runner. I don’t recall what...

68 Fury III Resurrection in MA

So, today I sold my 68 Fury III, 2 door hardtop with a 318ci and 727 TF auto. Not something I wanted to do (selling it) but needed to. On the positive side, I sold it to a great father & son team out of NJ. They drove the 5 hours to Milford and picked up the whole package. Dad is familiar...

    Swapping Stub Frames - Advice

Funny. I am sitting on my frame now looking at the parts mounted. 1. Disconnect steering linkage meaning…idler arm at frame and tie rods at ball joints. Remove steering linkage as a whole unit. 2. unbolt the upper and lower control arms from the frame. Disconnect shock at lower control...

SOLD 68 Plymouth Fury III, 2 dr Hardtop

Photos of quarter and fender patch needed. All of which is doable. Wheel cover removed on rear tire as someone asked what spacing was back there. As you know, lugs are 5 bolt pattern at 4.5” spacing.

SOLD 68 Plymouth Fury III, 2 dr Hardtop

Update… I truly hope that someone on FCBO takes the car as I am holding out from many on FB and CL who will strip the car and sell for parts or scrap. Based on several inquiries from FCBO and FB, here is an update with some clarifications. This is a numbers match car that should be saved...

WTF has happened to VHT SP126???? OUTRAGEOUS!

I was just having this conversation with some regarding automotive paints. They changed the formulation (and equipment) to produce a more environmentally friendly paint. Costs being passed on to us….like everything else. I have an idea shared by many, keep the old cars running and...

My local ACE hardware had the blanks and cut mine. Got lucky I guess. I had 2 set made.

    Rust encapsulators

Good luck in which ever you chose. Both are proven products. In many local body shop or auto stores, POR 15 is readily available. I ordered mine online and received later that week ready for the weekend.

    Rust encapsulators

Hi. First, my bad. I said Eastman originally…meant to say Eastwood. Yes, when I did my stub frame I used the Eastwood products. Hard as nails. I used the Eastwood Platinum (silver color). It paints on with a brush. Then Eastwood “Chassis Black”. That was sprayed on. They also...

What are you working on today??

Moved the stub frame out of the shed and to the garage on the rain. Built a simple dolly and rolled in front of the Fury. Frame is now on jacks to prevent flat spot on tires and to give it some space off the wet ground until it goes on the Fury. It was fun.
