Quick question - best spot to disconnect e-brake before stub-frame removal

Quick question for those who have come before me... Where would be the best spot to disconnect the e-brake cable on my '72 Newport? It's the last thing needed to disconnect before I can roll the stub-frame out from under the body. I was looking to do it at the rear wheel but then saw that it...

    Swapping Stub Frames - Advice

Hi all, FINALLY getting to swapping out the old, rotted stub with a replacement. If you followed my thread a few years ago (COVID Chrysler), two things the automotive students were doing was rebuilding my brakes w/ new lines and installing a new front suspension kit. Now, I'm looking to swap...

    1970 Chrysler Newport Question

Stub frame. I'm going to guess your subframe bushings are gone. You must be hearing a "clunk" going over bumps and feeling some flex. Interesting... Yours looks to be only three sides where as I've only seen them completely boxed in. I'm dealing with a '72 so maybe the '70 was different? - MG

COVID Chrysler update - advice requested

Good afternoon everyone. I'm now on my third summer, sloooowly chipping away at the '72 Newport. I hope to have it pretty much put back together by the end of the summer, with the two exceptions being the engine and the trans being rebuilt over the winter (I'm up in Maine). I do have a few...

    What is your daily driver?

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with 81k on the clock. I live 2 miles from work so the mileage stays low. The most miles comes from driving up to the mountains b/c it's really a ski rig.

1973 Chrysler Newport rear bumper removal

Watching... My valance is off and I started to play the guessing game w/ the bolts inside of the trunk. Service manual has been little help. The '72 Newport page showing the rear bumper doesn't even have a valance in the diagram.

Very cool!! I love the show "Junkyard Gold", or something to that effect, that this guy does. Being in the northeast, I'd love to poke around the yard he's in.

What's the best plan for this rust at the rear window?

It's more like a rubber seal that they laid down and then set the glass in. Here are a few photos. Truth be told, this was done at the metal shop and once I picked it up, I noticed that the trim clips were not put in before the glass was re-installed. They were in the trunk...... Needless to...

For Sale in GA - 1972 Newport roller *not mine*

Nope. After he and I spoke a few times, it came out that someone cut a patch out of the driver's side front fender. I'm guessing that's why. Also, I asked for a few more pics including the fender tag but I got the quote for shipping before he was able to produce them. Sorry.

For Sale in GA - 1972 Newport roller *not mine*

Since I was made aware of this car on this site in a thread, I thought I'd post it after going back-and-forth with the guy. Too much to ship it to me in Maine. Rust free two door and the guy has been very responsive and seems willing to work to make a sale. 1972 Chrysler Newport "Rare 2 door...
