Little baby boy on the way!

Thank you everyone!!! It’s such a strange (but in a good way) feeling. You never realize how much you can love something, but wow - I cried like a little girl when i first saw him LOL. Not afraid to admit it! As fun as it is to think of him older and doing what we all love with cars, I also...

Little baby boy on the way!

Named after one of the Estrada family’s favorite singers - Freddie Fender. Especially for my grandpa (son’s great grandpa) who is no longer with us. I can still see him turning up the radio and telling me in Spanish “THIS is music son” to this song

Little baby boy on the way!

May 06 2024 my baby boy came into this world happy and healthy! I can’t wait until those little hands start to help out with the cars as he grows up! A future Mopar man in the making

Shaping up to be a car again

Just got these beauties in!! They are going to look SO good on the 68! I also got these factory style caps for 68 too… Though I feel that these are kinda ugly, at the same time they’re cool because they’re original and would give my car a period correct “stock” look. Everyone I’ve shown...

    Formal Hubcaps on a Slab?

Yes sir! Thats what drew me to them. I can truly say I think these are the most beautiful Chrysler caps I’ve ever seen. Even cooler than the 61 Polara hubcaps. Funny enough, Lowrider guys LOVE Mopar hubcaps. They are on almost every “Bomb” in town. Namely Dodge Lancer hubcaps. Bombs are...

    Lowrider 1970 300 convertible

Are those Cal Custom valve covers? I have a similar set! Want to get mine polished out!

    Formal Hubcaps on a Slab?

I thought about the rear skirts! One common practice here is to shorten the axels to allow for wheels with reverse offset that normally wouldn’t fit. There’s a shop in town that does it on the regular. Guess I’d have to find a cheap set and see if they’d work!

    Formal Hubcaps on a Slab?

Well cruising season is brewing here in Southern California. There’s been car shows almost every week here in Santa Maria!! Lots of beautiful cars, still no Mopars. I did well and recently scored a set of disc brake hubcaps! While browsing Instagram I came across a Lowrider 77 New Yorker...

Soft lines for ‘73 disc brake conversion? / What Steel Rims Work?

I’m aware of the size, but rather - is there a specific offset? The calipers for the C Bodies are pretty beefy. I’m wondering if these Summit wheels would work. Coker Tire MPRST158P Coker Mopar Standard Satin Black Powdercoated Wheels | Summit Racing

Soft lines for ‘73 disc brake conversion? / What Steel Rims Work?

We are pretty much done with the brake lines up front !! Didn’t get the chance to take pics before I left, but they are where they need to be. Now the challenge is to find the right soft hose for the calipers. My New Yorker was originally a Drum / Drum car but I’ve since upgraded to a ‘73 style...

‘68 Update - She’s CLOSE to her maiden voyage!

IF the factory wiring in my car was nice enough to be saved / untouched - I wouldn’t have even thought of this upgrade. However, it was so badly botched and even eaten away in some parts by mice - it’s easier to do it the way we are about to! Makes me realize that this car was probably parked...

‘68 Update - She’s CLOSE to her maiden voyage!

Oh that’s the plan! Much like my wife, this car will have many sets of shoes  My dream set of wire wheels has to be The Cragar Starwire! They’d even look sharp on white letter tires, just like this That would be a very period correct / true late ‘70s early ‘80s Lowrider look. A lot of...

‘68 Update - She’s CLOSE to her maiden voyage!

I feel like I’m beginning to see the light at the end of this very long tunnel finally. She’s starting to come together! Currently my dash is away and getting re-wired. More than likely going to replace the dated Mopar fuse block with a modern “blade” style fuse block. It’d make the car a lot...

    Lowrider 1970 300 convertible

I guess it all depends literally where you are from too. I don’t see too many west coast members, namely ones who grew up in towns like I did. Where I’m from, lowered and modified cars have been a thing since the 1940s. The name Harry Westergard comes to mind. Stemming from Hot Rodding, many...

    Lowrider 1970 300 convertible

As ugly as the car might be, I can guarantee you someone out there is enjoying the heck out of that thing. I think maybe we could be glad at least for that reason!

    Lowrider 1970 300 convertible

I am a Lowrider guy to the bone, but the work on this isn’t quite my style. It’s definitely done in 90’s / early 2000’s style. This car would’ve looked a lot cooler if it was just lowered with a few mild touches. The main thing that makes this car look funny are the tiny tires. Though people...

    Brake booster ideas?

As much as I wish there was an alternative solution than having to send the booster in, it’s pretty much your best bet! I bought a core off eBay and had it sent straight to Booster Dewey a few years back.

    Rookie Brake Question

The car doesn’t drive, that was just clamped on so we could break in the motor and direct the fumes outside. This is pretty much how it looks now. After my brakes are plumbed and I get my dash back from being re-wired / upgraded I can get the car moving under its own power and off to the...

    Rookie Brake Question

As I’m starting to regain momentum on my neglected 68, I’ve shifted focus to (in my opinion) the most IMPORTANT system of them all - the braking system. I was lucky enough to score a set of 72 disc brakes for my car and they’ve been connected almost 2 years now. However, now that it’s time to...
