Have been spending a little time driving the 58 over the last few months. Starting to gather bits for a 440 transplant in the new year.

Spent the last few days getting the cars ready for the local car show. I took the 2 plymouths and my sons ww2Jeep. Son won best jeep and the plymouth got best convertible and Top american.

Finally got around to sorting the crappy speedo face. Bought one of the sticker kits from ebay.

Had the fury out for a run last weekend. Forget how nice this thing drives

Got the 58 out for a run on the weekend. Replaced the repo grille V with a genuine one. Also added a genuine 57 Fury to the collection. Very rusty but numbers matching car with most of the hard to find bits still on the car.

other side stone guard arrived this week. Managed to get a little time to fix and polish it up. Gave the car a run around town today to blow out the cobwebs.

Thank you for your kind words. They are neat photos. I do have them in my collection. I have around 100 different photos from the track day and also the week leading up to it, along with lots of newspaper clippings from the months prior. I will have to sit down and upload them one day to share...

Managed to track down the stone guard for the other side a few weeks ago. Just waiting for it to arrive. Also added a couple of 2 inch lowering blocks to see what it looks like. I will get around to getting the springs reset a bit flatter down the track. They are springs I made up out of a few...

Repairing a stone guard for the Plymouth today. Bit of a trial fit tonight. Still need to sand out some of the deep stone scratches tomorrow. Still needing to find a left hand side one yet.

Fitted a new sender unit to the tank and a new filler tube grommet and o-ring. That seems to have fixed the leak and also got the guage working. Also made up an overflow tank for the radiator to deal with our hot days here.

Trims welded back together and installed

Thanks Patrick, the trims arrived today and they are fantastic. Blown away by the help and support of member of this page like yourself that I have received over the last few years.

Hi mate, I would deffinelty be interested in them. The bottom ones I cut the last foot and a half of each trim and tig welded on some sedan strips. The tops were just cut to size. Kind Regards Terry

Thanks mate. I have a few original lock rings and agree, the new ones are not as good. I do have some good quality sender unit gaskets I had made quite a few years ago which work really well. Just trying to sort the filler neck tube seal at present. I just need to spend some time and drop it...

Turns out the ball and trunion had heaps of play so I had a local drive shaft shop do away with it for a slip joint set up. Works very well. Car is registered now but still have a bit to iron out. Fuel tank o-ring is leaking so waiting for a new one to arrive. Also some other teething issues...
