    Aftermarket Bucket Seats

You may find that there are drilled/threaded factory holes in your floor for buckets. Even though my car came with the bench, it does have the holes for buckets. This should make it easier, if you do go for some type of buckets. I'm not a stickler for originality either, but I do try to make...

    interior colors opinion?

I've always loved custom paint jobs, custom wheels, chrome under the hood, etc. Not to say that I haven't seen at least a few that I didn't like at all. The hot-rod scene, the custom scene has always been a very important part of the car hobby, maybe as much, maybe even more than the restoration...

    Radio Upgrade Options

I remember replacing the antenna on my truck many years ago. It was just shortly after I bought the truck. I just had the factory AM radio in it. Anyway, there was an antenna with a coil spring at the bottom and because of a stripped screw, the mast would quite often just fall over while I was...

    1974 Fury, car stereo install

I knew someone who installed a 160 watt amplifier in his '78 Cutlass and found that if he listened to the stereo, even at moderate volume, for 10 or 15 minutes with the engine off, he couldn't start his car. These amplifiers can pull a lot of current and current is one thing that the old Mopar...

    66 B Body seats in a 66 Fury?

My '71 Newport Custom has the threaded holes in the floor for buckets, even though it doesn't have buckets. So, I was wondering about B-body buckets possibly being a bolt-in. These days I would think B-body seats would probably be just as difficult to find and just as, if not more, expensive...

    Aftermarket Gauges

These gauges are actually quite versatile. You can just mount them as shown or remove each gauge and install it separately, but everybody already knows that. :laughing7: My personal plan is to either install an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge in my custom built console or, if the...

    What size speakers?

You need the two little speakers, not so much for your ears but, because the left and right output channels of the deck have to be connected to something. With most decks, you can't connect both output channels to one speaker or you'll fry the output IC's in the deck.:)

    Sound System

Those adapter kits might not be much help if your car is a '65-'73 C-body. The factory radios in the early cars were styled/designed to fit the dash. They weren't "generic" at all.:)

    Sound System

I'm planning on installing something in my car. I will probably build a console for the tranny hump. It will extend upward to the dash. I have a brand new (still in the box) Koss AM/FM Cassette head unit with an AUX input for mp3, portable CD player or whatever, so, I'll be using it. I tried to...

    Driver's door stuck shut

Assuming that you can still roll the window up and down you could try the coat hanger method. Try going down through the window with a coat hanger and see if you can "hook" the latch mechanism. There's a chance that you may be able to open it this way, if not then do what Commando 1 said to do...
