    Should these faces been polished our something? I see some dings and stuff that look like they will scratch the other rod face or the crank face. Before I put the rings on these, should I be taking some other action first? thanks

    angled plug heads gonna be a problem?

    I am still trying to factor in getting aftermarket heads for my 383. If I get angled plugs, is that gonna be an issue with hp manifolds or logs? I'd like to get the engine running and worry about headers or hp manifold later. Are angled plugs gonna be a problem? thanks

    I messaged the shop about my 516 heads and what valves he is gonna use. (I thought ferrea) He said: iron heads i would use an SBI or a SI replacement valve Am I wasting my time and money here? I'm really sick of Chinese junk, is that what these brands are? thanks

    383 +30 anyone know how big a exhaust I can put in before I have to clearance the deck?

    I may get the 516 heads done with 1.74 exhaust, is it worth it to go bigger? What can the bore take before it needs to be clearanced on the sides? Will stealth heads fit a 383? Also anyone know how much lift or valve size to start worrying about valve reliefs in the piston? thanks

    They all look like junk but...anyone got a preference? mine was pissing out the top of the band clamp, thought about squishing it wioth vice grips but maybe in a last choice situation I'd do that. thanks
