‘68 glass lift bracket & guide gasket?

I am not having much success searching for the gasket that goes between the front side window and lift bracket. I found an E body one on EBay but I believe it is different based on my part manual.
I believe it is simple enough to make if I can find the right gasket material. The original looks like a thin piece of water resistant black fiber/ cardboard.
Any suggestions?

The material that is provided in the rebuild kit for the A and B-Body applications is nothing more than a heavy grade of roofing tar paper material. Even if you have to use the thinner grade of roofing felt, you could cut several pieces and glue them together to achieve the desired thickness.

Not yet. I have to contact him about doing a trunk divider, and rear fender extension gaskets as well. I am sure there is something else as well.

That would work as well. I had part of a roll when I finished my garage, but got tired of kicking it around and tossed it. I think they will shingle the house across the street in the next week or so, but will probably use the new expensive roofing paper. I will have to keep my eyes open and go dumpster diving.

FWIW, I made a trunk divider out of 1/8" tempered masonite and glued carpet padding to the back of it for sound deadening. I used the original divider as a template for the new one.

Once cut out, I installed it, climbed in the trunk and traced all the bracing. Then put the padding where the braces weren't.

If you have an old school glass shop nearby, they may have something suitable for the glass gasket.
