1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 4 door 440 V8 engine
Second owner original survivor. First owner was a Chrysler executive who ordered it from Jefferson assembly.
54,790 miles. One of the last of the big 440 V8 motors. Three speed torqueflight automatic transmission. Original Ziebart rustproofing which has kept the car in great condition for a mid-70's 20 footer.
Triple black original paint, vinyl roof and leather interior with custom full length floor mats.

Here are the minor issues that need work:
Wipers need repair
Power windows are temperamental and could use work
Hideaway headlights stay open
Analog number clock doesn't work
Air conditioning needs work (comes with a few cans of freon)
AM radio works, but can be temperamental
Small oil leak

Here are the options:
Aftermarket CB radio with magnetic antenna
Factory service manual, sales brochure, electrical manual and tons of vintage model specific papers, etc
Full size spare
Car cover
Factory white pinstripes

History: always garage kept by original senior owner and me since 2009. Original paint, engine, transmission, vinyl top.

A few minor scratches and cosmetic issues common with a well cared for car, but no rust or other major issues.

Won a best in show award in 2009 for original 70's car.

Interior is classic 70's plush to the hilt with black deep pile carpet and cushy pillowy black leather bench seats in front and rear. One of the most comfortable cars you will ever sit in!

With a tiny bit of work, this could be a perfect show car or cruiser for years to come. Very low miles for the last 440 that Chrysler made before moving to a 400 in 1977. Single exhaust, but runs on regular or premium unleaded.

Asking $6,000 obo
Cash or certified funds only

Please Email me to discuss further or to arrange an appointment to see the car.

Wow... that's very sexy... I think you should get her Matt. :D

I can help out with all of that list of repairs... most of it is pretty simple "standard" stuff.

There was one similar to this for sale a couple(?) years ago... I'm not saying it was the same one, but might be a fun thread search if someone was interested. (I cant be)

It is a rerun. I posted how common these were in 3x black/gold stripe in many Vegetable-Fruit Markets parking lots as well as Macomb County neighborhoods with brick arches and fountains during the 70s... preserved as "last of the real cars" well into the 90s.

I really should buy this. It's like ancestry.com on four wheels.

I swear to God this the truth. Yesterday I had a Personal Best of FIVE " Nice Lincoln" shoutouts. How did big and gaudy "last of the real cars" ALL become Lincolns?

Not for me, I don’t have 6k to spend on a $2500 car but I do like it.

Here are the minor issues that need work:
Wipers need repair
This car is the easy wiper bushing repair
Power windows are temperamental and could use work
Motors and swiches. Ugh.
Hideaway headlights stay open
Motor. Impossible to find one at a reasonable price.
Analog number clock doesn't work
Pffff...
Air conditioning needs work (comes with a few cans of freon)
Deal killer.
AM radio works, but can be temperamental
Another PITA small job.
Small oil leak
MAIN SEAL.

Still a nice looking Lincoln though.

Since I would like to have a black one in my collection, I asked the owner for a few more photos.

With an engine compartment that looks like this, I can only imagine what the undercarriage looks like. Further, it has no CC, No Power seats, No tilt or tel, no pass side mirror, no power antenna, am radio only, tires over 10 years only, and many non-functioning items that he mentioned in his ad. Also, the car has been for sale for over a year and he turned down an offer of $5k (from someone else) two weeks ago.

Needless to say, I'm still looking for a black one. Ideally with tan interior.

I would pass on this one.

Very low option car and I bet the rust is significant.

He should of grabbed the $5k offer.....
