Hard to tell from sitting in a box, BUT the depiction of the eagle DOES match what you see in 1950's ads, and it IS a pretty amazing piece. Equally amazing is his asking price. Definitely for a dedicated Imperialist with DEEP pockets, AND a garage to mount it in......

Thoughts on this are appreciated.

It's a Mopar piece, they were using that typeface and logo back then.

The confusion is understandable, the Imperial name did appear on a few other things in the era.

And even in 2017.

Got the sign with most of the original glass broken but the porcelain was in decent shape with a little patina. Had a local neon shop restore the neon, very happy with how it turned out. It was in front of Bagott Motors in Palouse, WA. Bud still has some good neon on the shop. They dropped their Chrysler franchise around 2009.
