I would agree with you if it were a Royal Lancer. A base Coronet with the Suoer D500 package shouldn't bring this.

I see your train of thought, but it's not agreeable with the collector market.

I am not seeing this supposed enormous increase in values of the forward look cars overall. This one seems to be an aberration in my mind where you have some overly excited bidders competing against each other and the owner of the car just got lucky. I own forwardlook cars and watch the market a lot - this auction is not reflective of what I am seeing in general.
