What do you guys think of the price? Especially coming from a guy who doesn't even know what year it is.

I wouldn't pay it for a sedan but it does look solid.

A little pricey even if the car was detailed and ran & drove. 61 was the last year for push button trans controls in Desoto's, as in all automatic Mopars.

I generally believe that the prices you show from Collector Car Market Review are about the best guide there is based on my past experience. And even then finding a buyer for a sedan is tough

I generally believe that the prices you are showing from Collector Car Market Review are the most reliable ones out there based on my past experience. Even finding someone who wants a sedan isn't always easy though. There is so little known about the car, it is hard to price it.
While pushbutton automatic transmissions ended with the Desotos in 1961 since that was their last year in production, the pushbuttons continued in other mopars actually through 1964.

$15,500... does the dust make this car more valuable?

Presentation goes a long way when trying to sell a car, that's my point.

Then no the dust does not add value. Given your guideline it would do better all polished up in a fancy showroom with lights on it.

At least wash the car before taking photos, and again, how one presents the car shows other people what type of owner we are. No fancy showroom needed, just basic care for our beloved cars.

It sure is a nice looking car. Not $15k nice maybe 8-10 depending on in person inspection. More or less as the chart says. If it were a coupe, the sky's the limit.

64 was last year for pushbuttons (excluding Desoto, of course).

I think that price is too high, the 8-10k mentioned earlier seems more reasonable to me.

I can't help but wonder if the seller is trying to cash-in on the barn find craze, that a car is more valuable if it's been neglected. Does it make for a neat story? Yes. Does it make for a better car to buy? No.

I'd rather buy a car from someone who wasn't a collector, and drove the car regularly and maintained it and kept it clean.

Dust to me says that there wasn't any maintenance or fluid changes done in a long time.
