1959 plymouth belvedere for sale by owner - New Britain, CT - craigslist
Up for sale today is this beautiful piece of American History. This 1959 Plymouth Belvedere is offered at $17,000 obo. This car is in great driver car condition. It goes down the road wonderfully, runs drives and stops exactly as it should. It fires right up on the coldest of mornings with no choke necessary, although it is there and operable if needed. The 3-speed manual transmission on the column shifts well and the clutch engages properly. Interior is completely original and never restored, shows great. It’s comfortable, all electronics work including the AM radio, lights, gauges etc. Brakes stop the boat as if it were a modern car. The flathead 6-cylinder fires right up and purrs along like a sewing machine. The body does have its fair share of paint flaws and some rust, this car was restored about 30 years ago and although it shows great, could use some work around the body. None the less, it’s a much desired 2 door coupe that can be driven every day exactly as it sits and turn the head of every individual you pass.
Included with the car is the original service manual (book), the original bill of sale for the vehicle, and a good amount of receipts of work done. Mileage shown on the odometer reads 27,194, but we know that it is likely 127. Undercarriage is in great condition; frame has some rust scale but there are no holes or weak areas to note. Floor and trunks pans show their original undercoat and are free of rust. All in all, it's a great elegant driver to take out to town for little money. Trades for other collector's cars considered, favoring European sports cars or classics.
