Hey SixtyF -
I see you are in NZ, don't know why I didn't notice that before. Are you near Auckland? I sold some parts to a Michelle that lives there, for her 71 Monaco, her BF had a 57 or 58 Fury - do you know them? Maybe NZ is a big area but car-folks are usually well connected. Sold her that stuff 15 years ago but we still have periodic email contact from it after all this time. (cars bring people together - the best man at my wedding became my best friend simply because of a car)

@fury fan, Funnily enough I know Glenn and Michelle fairly well :)
The Monaco has been replaced with an Imperial and the '57 Fury will always be part of their family...

Now that I am on my home computer I can share a few pictures. I saw this F at a Spring Fling in Van Nuys in 2006. It was gorgeous!

Nice '60 F, but I could have sworn the ("it has ultra efficient hemispherical combustion chambers") 1G Hemi's ended in '58 and didn't have long cross rams either?

Also, "Batman" in the back window? A bit of a stretch there too.

If you're referencing the pics I posted, this is a 413 wedge motor. Hemis did not use the cross-ram induction.

Batman?

No sir, I'm not referencing your pics. I was referring to the '60 300 F that was the original topic of this thread. And that was my point, Hemi's were not put in 1960 models (but the seller alludes to "ultra efficient hemispherical combustion chambers") and Hemi's never had the long cross ram either. Those were only on the later wedges, post '58. The '60 300 F is obviously a 413 wedge, but the seller doesn't seem to know that.

Batman is on the rear package shelf. (original cars ad photos, not yours).

Ah!! I had to go back and look at the ad - you're right!

You can see the "wedge" valve covers in the picture! It's amazing what some people simply just do not know!
