200 MPH =160 KPM. Me thinkest we should remember where this Long Roof iz titled and probably was an export car to begin with way back then? Good Eye tho', Jer
OUI Patrick. I knew I waz on the rite track, but ever since I voted for Barry Goldwater back in '68 it'z been all down hill. At least I now know why I keep gettin' lost in Montreal, SHISH. THANKZ MAN, JerThat Speedo is metric. 200 km/h = 122 mph. Your math is backwards, Jerry.
1.61 km = 1 statute mile.
.61 statute mile = 1 km
BETTER EVERY DAY, GOOD THING SPEEDING ISN'T A TOP PRIORITY WITH THE WILMINGTON P.D. LOL, THANKZ FOR ASKIN'Ohhhh then I stand corrected! Pretty cool Jer... why did you sell it? MONEY, WHAT ELSE? Got any pics. love to see it. NO, SORRY
How's the Super Scamp running?
Sorry but no Bob. I bought it from a very old Retired Chrysler Employee back in the early '80s at a swap meet at the tec center when Detroit WPC used to have their swap showz at the Tec Center just east of Middlebelt in Livonia. I had the feeling at the time that it waz "lunch box stuff" back in '59+'60. I sold it to ah guy I knew in Detroit that collected wall art kinda stuff. It wound up on Eval-Bay ah few yearz later and I'm reasonably sure in went to Sweden, JerHappen to have a picture of that Speedo Jer?
Sorry, but I don't think metric was a big issue back in 1960. I'd have to have more proof. Just sayin'
Thankz for clearing that upCars built for export that were using the metric then (nearly all of Europe, Japan, and Africa) had metric speedos. Australia, NZ, Canada and the remainder of the British Empire were using miles well into the '70s.
OUTSTANDING sixtyf. Even nicer when electrolumininesent iz fired up. (Spell check won't help on this word and my '60+'61 manual went BY-BY with the Long Roof) Glad to see theirz more then one on the planet. Never had the one I had plugged in, Jer
