*UPDATE* This was the best thing I could have done. Should have done it sooner but I was trying to keep the car as original as possible. But then I found a period correct Hurst/Campbell shifter. The DP61 was amongst some of the earliest shifter kits that Hurst/Campbell produced and it works like a charm. SO much better to drive now. Even in stop and go traffic.

Those are rare as hen's teeth, now. How did you find them?
And yes, the car is much more appropriate with a floor shifter.

Just lucky I suppose. I was getting frustrated with my search for the missing linkage that I needed for the conversion and had "Hurst shifter" saved in my eBay search. I snapped it up at first sight!
