1962 361 core plugs

Today a friend of mine blew a core plug on his 1962 361. Apparently they are a different style than the cup type. The local wrecking yard that has a lot of old parts thinks he may have some but I need the diameter. Does anyone know in the diameter would be the same as any big block cup style plug for the same location?

Thank you. So I understand that you install them convex side out then hit it with a hammer. How hard do you hit it? Should some kind of sealant be used?

A Little Advice From the Depths of Experience.
There is Nothing More Embarrassing Than Giving it a Boot full, Spitting a Plug & Ending Up in the Guard Rail,
When the Radiator Empties Under Your Tyres.
Our Solution was to Drill & Tap Either Side of the Plug & Lay a Strap Across the New Plug.
If Done properly & to All the Plugs This Prevented Them From Leaving the Scene at an Inopportune Moment.
The Normal Sealant Precautions are Also Necessary.
