Hi Guys,

new owner of 62' chrysler 300. I need so much information on restoration, but specifically was wondering about stock paint/chroming information for underhood/suspension etc. Thanks!

Normally, any advise is with held until we see pictures.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Welcome aboard. There's a lot of knowledge on the board that should be able to help you with questions. Look forward to some pics.

I didn't really want to do this but you've forced me....

It really seems to be a great start to a cool project. Thanks for the pictures! Oh, and welcome!

Except for faded paint, body and interior are in good condition (bad steering wheel) No rust. The car has a frozen 383. I'm in the process of finding a 440 and am going for a stock, Bob Mosher type of build. My original question concerns Paint/plating of all suspension, fasteners, gas tank, rear end etc....where does one find what was original to car?

Firsts things first, you have to have a '62 Chrysler parts/service manual. Those will give you 90% of the info you are looking for. If you can't find something, become friends with someone who knows all about '62 Chryslers, or make a post here. Good luck on your project.
You can find a free service manual here:http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=109

It's real! :happy7: Looks like a nice solid car!

I'm no mechanic, I just love cars. But I can certainly be the cheering section for you!
