I actually know this guy really well. I would love to take on this project.....just too bad he has his head in the clouds with his price. (In my opinion he does anyways). This car is super solid. He did a '66 coronet that turned out stunning. I think I know why he is giving up on this car and it has nothing to do with the car.....more to do with a woman. What would you think a more reasonable price would be? The car is solid.

I'm generally harsher than most but I say three grand unless a guy with deep pockets just HAS to build a classic Gasser comes along. Then it could easily double.

He & his phone are seldom at one. I can definitely relate to that.

I think with the current condition of the car Stan is on the mark with $3k.

How many guys are looking for that type of project?

In this quad state area, there seems to be a lot of guys building b-body "ramcharger" type cars. Mainly post cars, but hard tops too. Next time I drive past one of the shops in North Dakota I will take some photos. Nasty, big block, drag tire, sittin' high, in your face, screw your grandmother kind of cars.

I think its got more value than that, especially if it is solid
To 99% of the lookers out there who would, at best, "fix it up", it's a $3k car.
There's one guy, though, out there who absolutely has a hardon to build one of these and right now. He'll pay a lot more for it.
Just gotta find him.

Unfortunately I don't have 50+ grand to do it properly....

It's a big deal here in So Cal too. These guys almost exclusively build these types of cars and last time I heard, had a three year wait. A lot of their builds are at the local cruises and shows.

If we talk about 1962 Polara's long enough.......Ross will buy a half dozen of them, rip out the interiors, slam them to the ground. and paint them black!!! LOL!!!

And i'm one of them...... I just love these first gen B bodys. My user name "bluefury361" was pulled from a 1962 Plymouth Fury H/T with a HP commando 361 and 3sp column shift I owned for awile.... I miss that one. It was like having a Road Runner 6 years before they came out.
To me this car holds much more value...... (Not what he wants for it though), It's like a fathers love.

I would get excited about one that was solid and still retained it's original componants....

My 62 Fury in 1964.... My buddies 62 dart in the background

Nah, those cars are begging to be turned into race cars. No pimping required, just shove a Hemi in it & get to the track.

A guy I know down here (comes to my car shows) has a '62 Savoy 2 dr. sedan with a 4 speed. I've begged and begged him for a selling price but he says it's going to the grand kids. Arghhh
