I am looking to find a set of 1964 Imperial sedan torsion bars. my car has a broken right side bar. Bob Hoffmeister told me I'm better off getting new ones. I can't find new ones, and custom made ones are $600 plus. Where can I get some used ones? or at lease a used right side one to the the car rolling.

Welcome! You might also invest in the tool to remove the bars with, rather than use Channel-Lock pliers or similar. I suspect it can be had from the source you get the torsion bars from (if not a salvage yard or similar).

So you know what you are buying, you might look i the Suspension group in the Factory Service Manual for the length and diameter specs.

With the bars out, might be a good time to get the lower control arm bushings replaced.

Just some thoughts,
