I think we've seen this one before, so to preserve it:

Price is a firm $3500. Please do not contact if you're going to offer less than that.

Don't miss out to own a piece of history. For sale is a 1965 Chrysler 300 4dr hardtop. This is the car with no B pillar, just roll down all windows for a clean open view all around.

Originally bought this car as a small project, now with my first child on the way I need to reset my priorities. Car is priced to sell for less than what I bought it, my loss is your gain. Car runs and drives and is in decent condition for a 51 year old car. The car is a blast to drive and is super comfortable. It's like driving a couch. With that being said, it is a 51 year old car that never was restored, therefore there is some work that needs to be done, but it's all minor and cosmetic. I've garaged the car since I've owned it, so no it does not sit in a field somewhere like other old mopars found on craigslist.

Runs and drives
Starts right up every time
315bhp - 383 Chrysler big block with 4bbl carter carb
Ignitor Electronic Ignition conversion (if you know anything about points, this is a nice upgrade)
MSD blaster 2 coil 45,000V
727 3spd auto. Shifts great
Factory power steering fully functional (small leak at reservoir)
New alternator
New air filter
Added tachometer (can easily be removed if desired)
Added water temp gauge (can easily be removed if desired, and use the factory "HOT/COLD" light).
4 matching tires
All matching, correct year hub caps (hard to find)
Headlights and turn signals work
Straight body with minor rust
Brand new custom fit car cover
Trunk load of spare I inherited from previous owner (never needed them and thought about throwing them away)
Class III tow hitch
Retractable antenna and radio still work (if you like listening to AM radio)
All chrome trim accounted for

This one has a lot going for it:
hardtop
straight and appears unmolested
very little rust

But it's also quite iffy:
if the interior was nicer
if it was a better color
if the rear bumper didn't have a big rust spot

Found my new to me 300!

I new it was on here somewhere.
Hate to revive an old thread but the pics don't do it justice.

I love that interior color, congrats! What are your plans for it?

Get it to the point where jumping in it and running to Carlisle or rockingham and not worrying about anything. Performance wise disc brakes, very healthy motor and some smoky tires. Visually I'm leaning towards a kustom kinda style. Rat/hot rod feel with some custom cow hide interior.

Although I have some essential fixes that I need.

The main issue I'm currently chasing is the dash lights cut off this morning.

The next problem is if I floor it from a stop it bogs or sometimes dies, I'm not trying to race it I just wanna spin the tires. I fixed the WOT bog a carb linkage was bent.
Also there was tailpipe smoke up around 3500 with my foot all the way in it. ( I'm hoping the smoke is the motor clearing itself out,or running rich. )

My dash lights cut out sometimes too and my headlight switch is currently the culprit but they didn’t work at all until I had the dimmer switch rebuilt.

The lights were surging on my way to work so I was messing with the dimmer and boom no more lights. I figure it was the switch, but was gonna poke around just to make sure a wire wasn't loose.

It's not terribly important seeing as the speedometer and fuel gauge don't work.

I replaced my headlight switch on my '66 and it took care of my dash lights too. You might want to put relays on the headlights. I have done this to my cars. Two fold benefit, brighter lights and you don't have all that current running through the switch, so the switch will last longer too.

Congratulations on the purchase, glad to hear it was a solid car.
