Don't know, but he's not the first person I've written/talked to that didn't know what size motor was in their car.
A lot of times that's a good thing. It means they haven't messed it up too much.

I think the four doors are the better driving/riding cars. 2 door hard tops and convertibles will put a smile on peoples faces, but a 4 door will put a smile on your face.

Unless it's a 4-door hardtop and the windows leak! HA! I'm interested in this car due to my parents having bought a '65 4-door hardtop Newport new. But, it constantly squealed at freeway speeds!

I think it's a sweet car. The seller has not sent the pics of the motor yet.

all right!, should have 383/325hp
Actually, not so for 65 Chrysler, the 300 got a single-exh 383-4 rated at 315hp. I have read this a few places over the years, and just checked it in a 65 Chrysler brochure also (no 325hp version was listed). I believe it applies on some Dodges also, and in 65-66, but a different book that I have shows it for 65 only. So I cannot confirm for 66.

And typically a 325hp 383 has either the small unsilenced air cleaner or a dual-snorkel version of what you showed in your pic.

I'm not sure I'd want to pay 8500 for this car, but if I was getting a 4dr I'd want a hardtop, and to find that console is a real tickler. But 55-6500 would be real tempting for a nice kiddy-hauler like this.

If you go back to the and and open it, he has added some more pictures.

Hi Guys,
I have just purchased this 65 Chrysler 300, and will be the fourth owner. The vehicle was purchased new in Stockton, CA and spent all its life there until 7-10 years ago when it moved to Sonoma County, CA. She truly is a rust free Californa vehicle!

Welcome to the site and good luck with your new car. It really is a pretty one.

Where will the car be going? I'm hoping when I see your location that it's somewhere my side of the Mississippi. Wherever it ends up it sounds like it has found a new owner that'll take care of it, congrats!

Hi detmatt,
Thanks, but she will be eventually leaving the USA. It will either be the UK or the Middle East! Like all special ladies she will be pampered!

Nice score, man! 4 door console car... That must be a mighty fine ride. Congratulations!

Congratulation
