I've been informed that no A/C with a 4 speed was only on 440's...

I'm curious as to what the thinking behind that policy was. The 1/2 inch longer A/C belts perhaps .....?

The Moparts Best & Brightest say that the compressor couldn't handle the red line shifts expected on 440.
So they say.
And it sounds very reasonable.
I like rare and unusual, how about this 65 Dodge Custom 880 4-speed wagon, 383 2bbl., wood grain sides. Has rust!! $16,500.

Not real sure any more, think I read about it on the 62 to 65 Mopar board, opened communications with the guy that found it to see if I could lay my paws on it but he kinda disappeared quickly.What was the story on this one?
Stans point is ( I believe ) no 440 4 speed air cars. 383 4 speed air cars exist by the thousands.
Actually, there is one factory A/C, 440, 4-speed car. It's a convertible too!
