1965 Fury brake pedal questions

This is my first foray into classic car restoration. I am in the process of converting this car to power disc brakes. It is currently a manual brake car. The question I have deals with the manual brake pedal vs the power brake pedal. After searching the site it seems that I need to change the pedal to a power brake pedal if I run the factory brake booster but these are very hard to find. What is the difference between the two and why won't the manual brake pedal work? Is there a way to modify the manual brake pedal to work with a factory style power booster? Thanks for you help in advance.

I'd really be surprised if a power brake pedal (for an automatic car) would be hard to find, they're all over the place. Now power brakes with a clutch setup is very rare. The pedals are very different with different pivot points and different height pushrods, etc. They have been converted, but it ain't easy.
So then, are you dealing with a manual trans car or not?

When I search on car-part.com for a brake pedal from the years 67-70 Fury I only saw 4 sellers. I don't know what models will interchange so can I use any c-body power brake pedal?

The pivot will be different between the two giving less travel for the power brakes and more travel and leverage for the manual brakes.

You need to look for 65-68 for your application, and yes, any Plymouth, Dodge, or Chrysler C-body will do. Pedals 69 and up are different.

Place a ad in the wanted section. Should be very plentiful and not big money. Surely somebody can help you out

Note that both the pedal and the mount bracket for the pedal are different, you will need to change both to convert to power brakes. Reason is that the master cylinder mounts slightly higher with manual brakes to take advantage of the different pivot point on the pedal. Factory part numbers are attached below.
