And that's probably ok until a legitimate sale thread gets overloaded with comments and conversations. That's unfair to the seller. Also why they are separated, every time someone comments, the thread gets bumped to the top. Bumping of sale threads isn't allowed for non Gold members and only once every 3 days for Gold members. Got to keep things fair you know.
As far as harming the seller goes, good bad or indifferent more comment equals more exposure.
That is not unfair. Disrespect is is another matter.
Addressing, them being separate. They are not separate. There are instructions on posting such adds in a header at the top of the forum. The old timers say its been that way for a decade. Or since some of the contributors were 10 years old.
Finally as pure opinion. Moving it does a disservice to members hoping to buy a car. A person can subscribe to the forum and be notified everytime a car is posted for sale. If you subscribe to general disscussion you get a notification everytime anybody posts anything.
I don't buy a mopar because a FCBO member has it for sale. I buy it because I want it and it's for sale.
I think the root cause for change is people making ******* comments. Which I agree is an issue. More so than on any car forum I have been on, men on this forum comment in a manner that they absolutley would not do in the actual presence of the other man.
That is as weak as filing the hurt feelings report with the moderator.
A little respect goes a long way.
And shitty cars sell. Look at my driveway!
