I was wondering when you would step up to claim your next project:lol:

All you, my man. This is waiting in the wings to be returned to its original glory:

It will cost far less than the '66 300 in question, needing a cosmetic resto only but I will be doing a frame off. All the mechanicals are in order with the motor having about 10K on it and the trans and diff having about half that. It should be a fun project and I'm looking forward to it.

Man, you sound like my wife! LOL!!

The previous owner "restored" the car around 25 years ago and took many shortcuts such as fiberglassing the truck pan instead of having a new one properly installed and sheet metal screwing replacement floor pans on top of rotted pans. The paint is also starting to crack at the base of the C pillar on the driver side (originally a vinyl top car). I'm assuming filler was used to fill the holes and blend the area. The brightwork is showing its age too. All this and the car is not the orginal color combo. The original Exterior is Silvermist Gray with a black vinyl top and the interior was originally Parchment (white). In all my years in the Pontiac hobby, I've yet to see a Silvermist '64 GTO with Parchment Interior. Oh, the Cragars are gone too to be replaced by these:
