Tough crowd :icon_jokercolor:. This is the third 2 door I've seen for sale in my area since I purchased mine about 8 years ago. they are almost ALWAYS 4 doors. One was nothing but a shell that sold for 2500 and the other was a total waste for 1800. If you think this is a 500 dollar car you would shoot me if you saw the one I paid 500 for. If you can find one like this for 500 bucks let me know, I'll be there with a trailer

It's difficult to guess a decent price on the car with no interior or engine photos. I think $2k is too much, $500 is too little. It's probably worth more in parts than the whole, but unfortunately that's the case with many C-bodies.

Running and driving will bring 2K out here no matter what it is. Except pickups, you can get a nice vintage truck for under 2K all day long. I would offer 1.6 for it if I were in the position to buy.

He shows no pics of engine. Could be a slant six car that he thinks is 440....... Could be a junkyard 440 that's on it's last leg........ I don't think its a factory 440 car.

You can find them straighter, and with less rust for under 1,000. I don't think the 440 should make a 500 car worth 4 times as much........ There's a reason he doesn't have under-hood pics, and interior pics. He is hoping somebody is desperate and will drive and look.

You're probably right... I tend to be naive and take people at their word.

Hello guys. I went over there and checked the car out. It had a souped up 440 with a cam arp studs high rise intake and edelbrock carb. It also has a sure grip posi, a new leather interior, new carpet and new headliner. The guy was moving out of town and I eventually bought it for $1000. I've already had offers above that for it as it runs super. The rust wasn't that bad although the body is a little beat up. It as originally a 361 v8 car so it has front disc brakes. It also has a painless wiring harness, new dual exhaust and windshield. But the side chrome is missing all the way around and it has no windshield wiper motor. It had some painless wiring issues and didn't start but that only took about an hour to fix all the turn signals, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, starting issues and it's now streetable.
I'll post some pix if you like.
