1966 Imperial Crown convertible

Got my new windcord/windlace installed today! That, and got my driver seat back panel adjusted to fit and stay in place. It kept falling off the back of the seat.

First time on the road in two months!

My Imperial turns 57 this week. The SBD on the fender tag is 907, just six days after my '66 Coronet, which is 901. Labor Day weekend, gotta get the girls out for a spin around the lake!

The past weeks have been fun with the Imperial! As the temps come down, so does the top and sunshiny enjoyment. Did the Hot Rod 100 and our local Mopar show recently, and did a couple of laps around the nearby lake with the old girl on Sunday. Celebrated her 57th birthday on September 7th (907 on the SPD!). Got a few odds and ends to do on her in the next few weeks, but that will happen after my son's wedding later this month.

I restored the wheel covers to the '69 color scheme of painting the center and the background behind the turbine body-color; which in my case, I used Ford Crocus Yellow. The color match is incredible! For whatever reason, they couldn't match the Chrysler/Ditzler paint code, so we visually matched their FoMoCo paint. Voila!

I also reinstalled my glove box, and did some overall cleaning on the car. She's gonna ba a busy beast this Summer!
