Old Man with a Hat
Welcome I like the car except for red, but the third pedal makes up for the colors shortcomings. Good luck wish I had the cash.
It has incorrect front seat covers over the original seat vinyl. Aftermarket seat covers can be easily removed, but the driver's side seat is worn, so I haven't removed the aftermarket covers.
I don't understand the term "dash pad... jacked up"? I have owned this car for many years and the dash pad is original and I don't think it's ever been taken off.
Please feel free to ask me any questions. I have owned this car for many years and would not consider selling it except for a financial situation that I am trying to rectify. I have been involved with C Bodies (And A and B Bodies) since the mid '60s when I worked at Buckhead Chrysler in Atlanta. This is a very rare car, a solid driver, complete and mostly original. You will never find another one like it (that's why it's 1 of 1)! Thanks for including it on your forum.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think this car, given it's age and condition
is worth every penny. It may not be what some people want but what I see is a lot
of potential. You can buy what needs to be freshened up any day of the week but
because of a few "rough edges" it's value is up for debate by a select few who
obviously don't wish to purchase it. I say shame on you for your harsh judgement
and I challenge you to put your vehicle up for sale and see just how much criticism
you attract for the price you ask. Cut the guy a break because he just might get the
price and then who's the fools. No further discussion needed!

Love your car, and the red works well for me. I have a friend who has a 64 Newport with factory 3 spd floor shifter. Not a lot of them around either.
I do agree with the concensis here ..... rare and valuable are two different things.
Rare AND valuable is a vehicle that was very desirable, but too expensive or too impractical when new. such as a hemi car.
A 3spd manual shift Cbody of that era was not really that desirable and looked upon as a cheapo unit. Not many built because they were not popular.
40+ years later it's cool and unusual.
I also don't put much stock in NADA collector car values. They should stick to used cars.
I think both sites are wrong, the car is a real rare one, on he other side of the brouchure rack is a Plymouth which is much cheaper if that was what they were looking for. Someone ordered a Chrysler specifically because it was a Chrysler and was okay with the low line/ low option of the car. They bought the top or close to the top car line with low line options a very low number of buyers would do this. I would say it only adds to cars value. Worth 12 probably not but it doesn't hurt to ask, there is always a fool waiting to part with his money.
Why would Ma Mopar ever put together a car like that voluntarily...I would wager this was ordered for dealer stock and doubt it was special ordered.
