Hi,new to FCBO,but not to Mopars or even C-bodies! I've had '73 and '76 Newports and a '73 Imperial in the past.I found this site being a member of FBBO,I have a couple of those.Soon I will be acquiring a '66 Newport two door hardtop,383 auto. The body is very straight,it does have a little rust at a few spots like the quarters behind the wheels and the trunk jamb on both sides at the rear.Floors look ok including the trunk.The car is going to need a closer inspection when I finally get it here,tires are flat and it sits LOW!The fate of the car is TBD,depending on the condition,frame etc.,but I am being optimistic and looking for parts sources! The interior needs help,seat covers are rough,and at least the left rear interior panel need replaced. The dash pad is cracked too,all parts are blue, (the exterior is light blue metallic). Searching for seat covers,such as Legendary Interiors, I only find '66 300 model bucket seat covers,The Newport is a bench seat.No interior/door panels either,not blue anyway. Has anyone been through this or know of any possible sources or other model seat covers that will fit the '66 Newport?Thanks for any input and I'll post pics when I take possession of the car!
