Old Man with a Hat
There ya go, Gary.
Wow, that is nice. I'm a country boy at heart (living in "rural" suburbia, go figure). My family is from the south. Anyways, where out family homestead is located (Enfield, NC.), there's a little gas station / general store that looks just like this picture, almost exactly. Only difference is they don't pump gas any longer. When I was a kid we had family reunions there and my and my cousins would walk down the dirt road (yea, dirt), past the tobacco farm to this little store to load up on junk food/candy that the old man's son still sold there. I think it's probably still there.....though I haven't been there in a long time.He has a ton of them.....

All I can give ya 27823. I was a young boy the last time I was there. Got in trouble for setting a tree on fire, and my great uncle had to run it over with his tractor to put it out.Gary, whats the best address you can think of for that place.
I want to Google Earth it to see what it looks like now.
Here's a cool place that's near me:
It's still a Western Union office and an out-of-town bus stop.

Doesn't ring a bell. I remember there was a big cotton mill/factory in the area though.Ringwood Mart?
I always wondered if there are still some small communitis or very small towns left in the US that are still pretty untouched in appearance for the last 40-50 years and where to find them. Always been some kind of "dream" to find such a place;
actually I'm looking for a very well maintained farm house or small manufacture building to buy and combine the car collection with housing; very few left and always too remote from my job.
