Very common back in the day, quite possible the vinyl top was dealer installed.
My Newport was born without the vinyl top,but was dealer installed.

Maybe this depended on the assembly plant, but technically didn't the slab engine bays come painted black?

my 67 is yellow as the car and the other 67 parts car and the 68 i had were all painted as the car.

They look like 15" to me, but the pics aren't clear. '68 Mopar Magnums wouldn't have a trim ring.

I don't know if they are Ford wheels. I would assume they are aftermarket.

firewall all yellow, engine side of rad support all yellow, from the condenser over to the fenders is black except for about 1 inch or so at the top.

Different plants coded differently.

Many plants coded the top paint code whether the car had a vinyl top or not. Y/6 = black vinyl top.
