EOD, this is where i am too. still a cherry sled and the outcome was great.
i also noticed it had "non conforming" content too, in addition to what he pointed himself. but it didn't bother me .. admittedly though i did NOT know about the door color - it gets a "demerit" for that I guess cuz that's usually easier to get "right" from an old photo.
Sometimes getting ALL the fine details right (eg. treatment like MrMoparCHP's 1969 is getting), and being able to PROVE you got them right with 40+ year old documents (if they still exist), is very challenging.
Then even if you KNOW what you need, you can't find the "correct' parts -- particularly the police only stuff and specific to the department that owned it.
when you do get ALL that right, you can take satisfaction in a hard job well done. ya just do the best you can. if perfection is what you seek it can be done but again usually is a daunting undertaking, or a labor of love.
If you wanna sell it later, well like any other negotiation, buyer may/may not value the authenticity and attention to detail that went into putting it all together.
anyway, realizing a $25k selling price just got a little "taller" for this one to the extent it is not "correct", but STILL a darn nice car and I hope it does well. I salute the seller for taking it on in the first place.
