Right outside of Chicago. Go git it
They say its a police car. No way to tell for sure from info provided (full rim blow steering wheel, clip-on dog dishes are good signs tho).
if a super commando coupe (little emblem on fender near front?), i don;t think he's asking enough for it IF ,, IF .. this car is in condition it appears and is a real squad. and surviving police coupes in this vintage rare as hen's teeth.
personal opinion only: most folks with police cars on CL for sale just don't provide enough information to interest the people most likely to want to followup.
just the basics that one or two more pics could show -- fender/cowl tag, K in VIN (for this year at least), plus any documentation that can authenticate it -- may go a long way toward helping make a deal happen.
anyway, wish 'em good luck with it. and, hey where are those little "mountains' with scrub brush in Chicago area?

Could it be the pass. side armrest pad that's in the wooden box behind the drivers seat?

Very common; on all A, B, & C bodies through the mid to late 1960s. My brother had one on his 1964 B-body; I had one on my 1968 Barracuda.

Car was on ebay in March 2013, location noted as Poplar Grove in the listing, but listing says car is in Colorado. Bid to $5k but didn't meet reserve.

A: yes power steering and brakes paint just starting to bubble on lower wheel well

Q: marks, looks impressive. can you provide me the engine block numbers (from the engine pad by the distributor). Also, the intake manifold casting number. Thanks. SC
A: here are the #'s my father saw intake 2205968 5 418 99 on the pad c383 5-122 hope he got them all Thanks for looking
