I got a call from a gent looking for a 68 300 4-spd,..,any members know of one?

Many thanks!

Can't say I've ever seen one either, was it even remotely possible to get one in '68?

I don't believe I've ever seen one. I don't believe I ever dreamt one existed. .. can't actually imagine why someone would want one but then, stick C's never particularly interested me.

According to the white book, no manual trans were in 300's. No 4 spd's at all, but a small number of Newport / Newport Customs had 3 spds.

I have seen that the 3 speed was standard on all three body styles and the 4 speed optional on the 4dr and 2dr hardtops. That was a carry over from 67. So it may have been available for a vary short time or not at all before production began. Only the New Yorker is listed standard automatic in the 68 brochure.

That radiator I have. The # in it shows it was from a 67 or 68. Can't remember. I know I took it out of a C body. IIRC it is listed as New Yorker/300 440 4 speed. I had a guy call me a few months back. He just bought a 69 or 70 Newport convertible 383 4 speed car. HE SAID it was all original. He sent me pics of it.

And I didn't have the parts he was looking.
We don,t care........we would like see the pics !!!!!

Well about that......I'm pretty sure he sent them to me in a text msg. I'm also pretty sure I didn't save them. It was black, white top & interior. I told him he had a 1 of 1 & to do it right

I'm not a numbers matching guy. I had this conversation with Cantflip a few weeks ago. Twice I have gotten into heated arguments at car shows back in my younger days when I had a lot more bite. Over production #'s or options. And I've witnessed others in heated debate. So I just enjoy the car. Weather they made 1 or a million

Okay........but THAT one is worth a million..........:)
