I thought I would share what I found since most of you would find this interesting.

While addressing an issue with my '68 300, I came across a production broadcast sheet tucked beneath the passenger seat's back cover. It is in remarkably well-preserved condition, and as you can see the word "New Yorker" written on it in script. It appears the initial buyer sought the interior appointments, comfort, and amenities associated with the New Yorker model, while desiring the performance characteristics and distinctive front-end styling, including concealed headlights, of the 300.

Your car has the New Yorker leather seats which I don't think were available on the 300. My New Yorker has the same seats. Nice find!

From what I can see your car is pretty well loaded up with options. How about a picture of the dash and engine?

Likely...the buyer (code 691 on the BS) Simply checked the box for the optional on the 300 M3X seats on the order sheet. https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/colorAndTrim/1968/pg 5.jpg

The seats for the New Yorker would be code H3X. https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/colorAndTrim/1968/pg 7.jpg

A change in seats would trigger a 999 code in 1968.

Why does it say New Yorker on the sheet? I don't know but there's no evidence it's related to the optional but certainly available on the 300 interior.

Interesting. Pictures, seem to indicate power vent windows, along with the noted New Yorker leather seats, am-fm search/seek radio, looks like a loaded car. Cannot tell if it has cruise control or auto-temp. Is that bronze inserts on the dash panel facia? I thought only the 68' Imperials wore that.

I don't think it's the search-tune radio, looks like the stereo radio. 1968 was the first year for stereo in a Chrysler. Our New Yorker has that also. It doesn't have EVERY option, as there is no tilt/tele steering wheel and it doesn't look like it has Autotemp or the auto headlight dimming thing, but still an awesome car!

Broadcast sheet shows:

411 a/c so not auto temp
428 Radio AM/FM stereo
459 power vent

Neither 472 Auto Dimming nor 473 Auto Pilot is indicated on the sheet
Not H3X "NYer leather seats" but optional M3X "300 leather seats".

Amazing good condition on your broadcast sheet.
I used to have a stock '68 300 conv with leather seats. If I remember correctly, the seat back metal emblems were same as vinyl interiors.
