I don't think I've ever seen one of those before.

You do like to sell em dont you?
Yea, stop selling those beautiful cars. Jeesh.

The color of the eBay car is something. The interior color is alarming. I don't think I could ride in the car.

Yes, i'm insistent on putting myself through hell, esp should have kept it, that conv was built in the last 2 wks of production. A dealer in Nj bought it, then touched up the paint a bit and resold it, it was advertised by the guy who bought it, it's in NC now, guy is trying to get 22K out of it. Good frigging luck, I have it for sale for 2.5 months and just barely got 12K. I'd buy it again in a sec for what I sold it for, but the new owner overpaid so much that he will never let it go now. What I need to do is get the guy with the 4 spd conv in VA to sell that. There was also a 4 spd hardtop in that champagne color in WA state last year, virtually rust free, that I was going to buy but it had an open title which is useless in PA.

So now i've migrated to my other love, the 70 Polara, but cannot find what I want in that either. That's ok, the kids toys will fill up the garage instead of a car.

It is gorgeous Mark... post some pictures of your 300 and really let them break your balls

AMC cars are way underestimated. The 67s are far the best Full Size cars from that manufacturer. Unbelievable what they did on the tightest budget in the industrie with their talented design staff headed by Richard Teague. Inventors of the hot water heater system and the first ones to offer AC standard.

Even got a soft spot for the very plain AMC American and Classic models of the 60s.
When it comes to AMC I get carried away sometimes.:shruggy:

A lot of AMC cars looked similiar to Mopars. The Ambassador looked like the fastback Chrysler's, the Marlins looked a lot like 1966-67 Chargers, and Javelin's kind of looked like Cuda's and Challenger's.

Well, at least it isn't black... :)

That interior is a real "Summer of Love" number. Must have looked good when taking those 1960s hallucinogenic drugs.

Don't you find it all the more intriguing that way?
OK. Guess not.
It's simply a random Google search hit that I found interesting and thought it made a nice additional visual to the thread, and that it didn't require any further comment.
I won't do it anymore.

Yes, you have me pegged. And yes, I do look good, you don't oft see someone driving a car like that who still has most of their hair!

So are you telling me there is no really nice Polara rags out there? Let me answer that - no, not in the cond those cars were. There are nice unoriginal cars or nice cars that have been restored, but not orig like that, exc for yours. Sounds like the luckiest dog at the pound is you!

I want to see more pics of the yellow polara rag from cali.
