I tried to 'unpick' the trunk floor in my 66 Fury using a spot weld cutting drill bit. Took me about an hour to do 2 so I just very carefully cut the old one out with an angle grinder and 1mm cutting disc before fabricating new ones from 16 gauge sheet steel...much easier and far less frustrating!!!

Steve is there a reason you used this ancient thread to post the update on your trunk floor? I know the guys were discussing cutting floors out in this thread but you might want to start a thread of your own for the car.
