That's why it will be interesting.

Why wait?

Hi there! For sale is a HIGHLY optioned 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 HP convertible!

A/C optional.
Console optional
Power brakes optional
Sure grip optional
Appears to show tinted windows

Three of the five items for RADIO GROUP are visible so it likely had that.

Rear speaker N/A with convertible or wagon. Aftermarket cut into a $700 panel.

Standard dash; not Rallye.
Standard gears.
Not disc brakes.
No Clock or tach
No power windows
AM radio not FM or 8 track
Wheels unknown.

Does not appear to have hard to find convertible only visors.
Dodge convertible belt molding is a ***** to find and $$$$ when you do. I hope it is good.
Needs convertible only quarters.

I'll stop now....

Nicely optioned, yes. "HIGHLY" optioned? Not really.

I'll have to check out the comments when they hit Moparts. Should be interesting. lol.

Moparts is great.
You just have to ignore the strangers.
But there is a lot of knowledge

So it is a great source if you can figure out how to play it

It is a pleasure to have experts like Doug :thankyou:

I thought you said you guys don't like importing projects!:poke:

true for germany.

But not for scandinavians. They love verts and restore cars. Having up to 6 months of winter might have something to do with it.

Than what? An Edsel?
:poke:

The 70 Coronet front end is a love or hate thing.
My original quote was intended in the vein of '2 guys discussing which is a better dog, a retriever or a lab'.
So I piped up to say a cat is better (which everyone knows they cannot compare to either of those dogs).

Maybe it was due to the volume of people on there, but I just found it too tiresome to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Too many guys thinking that if a car isn't restored accurately, then it isn't worthwhile.
Too many guys being douchebags, but it's ok as long as they don't use profanity.
Too many experts saying there was only 1 right way to do something.
Too many people giving advice or info without qualifying it to their situation, or how it applies to someone else's. (i.e. a guy asks about a particular crankshaft for use in a budget-build weekend cruiser, and someone tells them it's junk. Then you find out he tried to make 750 hp with a $300 crankshaft and it broke, which is totally irrelevant to what the original guy was asking about.)

Although we have some of that here, it's much less of an issue.

Moparts has their own short list of old men in hats that are good guys.
I gave up primarily because of the remaining 90%.
A few over there bailed my sorry *** out a few times on the 4 speed journey.

I've been an active member for 20 years, or real close to it. I've posted less than 2000 time. That's including the two change overs

Never felt welcomed over there so I didn't stay long, FBBO was a much better forum for what I was doing at the time.
