Hey all, the time has come to post my 68 Polara for sale. It was purchased a few years ago with the intent to restore it but I have not been able to get the shop rolling on things. I purchased it with a rebuilt engine & transmission, new wheels, a bunch of CHP equipment, and more. While at the shop for 2 years, the dash was removed and refurbished and a new gas tank was installed. It's been stored in covered storage with a car cover.Several layers of paint were removed and located the original CHP paint underneath thats in great shape. Plan was to get it mechanically sound, then redo the interior, and then patina the outside and let it rock.

This car did run several times on eBay last months and usually highest bid was around 6k‘s, but never met the reserve.

Aside from the question what the right price might be, I find it interesting that this is IIRC a DRUM car, though discs where available at the time.

Edit: checked pics of old auction and it has power-discs as by the master-cylinder in the photos…did not check the fendertag, though. Don’t know from what I had memorised this car as “drums only“, sorry for any confusion.

I saw this car in 2017 to verify for a friend ( that I had recently met). at the time you could not see the remnants of the CHP decals. It does have the original engine and transmission. My friend did buy the car then and sold it in 2021 to a CHP officer in Santa Cruz. The pictures on Facebook are at my friends place.

I didn't take many pictures, don't have an under hood shot to see about the brakes.
