I am selling my Turbine Bronze 1968 Crown Coupe. I have another project I just acquired and I just done have the room to keep 4 vehicles. I am putting this up here first, to see if there is nay interest by the group.
1968 Imperial Crown Coupe- Ultra low original miles with many rare options.
This car was purchased just a few years ago from the 2nd owner, which owned the car since 1969. When purchased by myself the car only had 34,000 actual miles on it and you can tell while driving it. It currently has a little more than 36,000 miles on it. While already in very good condition, the plan was to bring the car back to like-new and make it a fully reliable and safe car that can be driven anywhere, anytime. It is finished in an original 1968 Chrysler color of Turbine Bronze Metallic with a two-tone Chestnut and Champagne Interior and has a Chestnut Soft Top. It was repainted in 2022 in a 2-stage basecoat/clearcoat, which is better than the original paint. It has been brought to the “Mopars In The Park” car show for the last couple years, and it won First place in its class in 2024. In fact, the next owner will be able to bring and enter it in the “Winners Circle” at near year’s 2025 show. It has been invited to a Concours event as well. This Imperial has been lovingly maintained, featuring many rebuilt mechanicals. The list of parts replaced includes the entire brake system (including stainless steel-sleeved brake calipers with a lifetime warranty, new brake cylinders, new pads and shoes, & new master cylinder), all which came from Craig at Mobile Parts. Also included are new engine mounts, new wheel bearings, new front and rear shocks, new tires (2 years old), new Edelbrock AVS 2 carburetor, new Mopar Electronic Ignition, new plugs and wires, new coil, new voltage regulator, new Powermaster alternator. The upholstery on the front seat was redone with original materials from SMS (have extra). The steering wheel was professionally recast (cost $3000) and has a lifetime warranty. All external light bulbs were changed to LED’s and are fully functional. Currently, the car is turn-key ready for memorable road trips with the family and to be proudly shown too.
Options: Vinyl Roof, Pint Stripe, 440 Dual Exhaust and Dual Air Cleaner, Sure Grip Differential, Air Conditioning, Multiplex AM/FM Stereo, Stereo 8-Track Tape Player, Power Door Locks, 6-way Power Seat, Automatic High Beam Changer, Auto Pilot (cruise control), Spare Tire Cover, Safeguard Sentinel Lighting, All Tinted Windows, Outside Right Mirror, Front License Plate Frame, Door Edge Protectors, Tilt-A-Scope Steering Wheel, 3-Ring Whitewall Tires.
Comes with: All receipts for anything done to the car, original Dealer Invoice, original Window Sticker, 2 complete original Build Sheets, several extra spare parts.
Most power option items work, with the exception of:
$25,000 o.b.o.
