Heh. It just comes down to simple horsepower/value. Also it much more modern and 4l80e transimmision will hande much more power. Planning to twin turbo the ls.

And if your googling was sufficient, you no doubt learned that the LS is an AWESOME engine in EVERY regard but one - the name of manufacturer.
When Mustang guys are willing to use a GM engine, you know the other team hit a grand slam.

If I thought I could pull it off, I'd get one of the removable-bellhousing 4L60Es, put on a Quicktime and a stand-alone controller, and get essentially a 25% increase in torque in 1st gear. Then maybe swap in 3.91s. That would make even a smogger 400 2-barrel stand up and polka.

And if your googling was sufficient,

No it's more like the memory cells in the brain are reaching capacity at my age, and I'm sure I've seen the LS on all the *** monkey car shows, foose, counting, fatworks, jesse whaz'izname, just doesn't register, no capacity, don't care, got better things to do than to get involved in chebbyland other than seeing someone blow up their new Vette on youboob.

Yes, but the beauty of the LS is in its grassroots potential, what they can do with a mix-match of JY parts and a small budget. I wish we had a modern-day equivalent (the new Hemi isn't an equivalent due to price and poor availability in JY).

A one wire hook up crate motor can you imagine the possibilities.

Yes, would be nice for that, but price for that on a new Hemi is prob $5k and upward. Then there's motor mounts, trans adaptation, oil pan fitment, fuel system on the car, etc. A JY Hemi isn't a bad prospect if you get a nice roller that needs an engine, or vs a full engine rebuild, perhaps.
