1968 Plymouth Sport Fury 383 commando with factory 4 speed. Car has 69' 440 engine in it currently with an edelbrock intake, mild cam (no specs), new holley 850, new alternator, recent distributor etc.. Have original 383 that still turns, has blow shield on it and don't have original bell housing, pistol grip, frame connectors, 3.55 sure grip, flowmaster exhaust, runs and drives. Could use a look at the brakes and throw pout bearing just because its been sitting. All floors are solid, as well as torque boxes and frame rails. One spot near passenger rear shackle has a small hole. Rockers, doors, cowl, aprons, k member, and pass. fender all solid. Bottom of drivers fender and quarters have had some repair work done by previous owner. Interior is usable but will need restoring. Decent car overall and rare. Hard to find a drivable big block mopar for the price of $6800 or best offer. 978-400-1605 my name is John. Thank you! I believe that they are flowmaster resonators. I never looked into it and I am located in lunenburg massachusetts

What does the interior look like John? Seats, headliner, rear package tray, dash, carpet etc?

You should include some pics of it in ads .. may help it sell.

I saw your comment above about the interior but still good pics are worth a thousand words

Also looking for a good set of door and quarter interior panels. I own an automotive upholstery shop and could remake them but for obvious reasons I would like to purchase a set if the price is good. I meant to post these initially as well but the computer was being difficult. Thanks for the posts guys also have a pic of the factory engine now that i will post later on.

Not bad. Looks like the headliner, dash pad and perhaps the carpet are the major areas of concern with the interior. I like the pistol grip in this.

I'm with Patrick and I like seeing the reverse light in a Sport Fury too :)

You might want check with 68plymouth383 / Jason who's a member here. He may have another Fury .. I think he mentioned he may getting getting another to part out recently if you want to add some replacement parts to the kitty for the sale or maybe keep and spruce this up a little

Headliners arent too bad to do and relatively cheap to buy, I haven't looked to hard for the dash pad, and i know the carpet was replaced by and amateur but still looks ok. Door panels are my major concern on this one unfortunately. i know legendary has seat covers though.

And yea Tallhair I will try and shoot him a message. I am new to this whole forum deal. I thought the car was sweet and when some mopar guys I know were pointing out the true 4-speed gear I got a little giddy. Whether it sells or not I love having rare stuff and being my first mopar I am contemplating fixing it a bit and maybe driving it. But could really use the money for the 65' Pontiac. From all the research I've done there weren't very many four speeds anyone have any supporting info?

Yeah pretty hard to come buy. Someone probably has the numbers handy. I hope you decide to keep the Fury and sell the Pontiac.

What does it look like and what is it?

IMG_1591.jpg1965 Pontiac Grand Prix 389 4b factory air car with a factory vacuum gauge as well. I have some plans to set it on the ground with air and some deep dish 56 caddy wheels and hub caps with 3in white walls. Try and work with the color.

Nice Pontiac! Years ago, I had a '66 Bonneville 389 ragtop, red/red w/white top. Wonderful car!

Yeah, I am(was) a Poncho guy for years, had 2 '68 Firebirds. I thought I'd miss them more than I do...guess that is a testimate to my new Mopar?

Thanks Patrick66 I love the car and I bet the drop top was sweet and Polara71 I like the color to I'm into the Kustom scene so it works for me. 68blackbird you must really love them big body mopars to not miss those sweet rides. Id like to find a 67/68 vert for my dad some day. He'd dump the 77 vette and the 69 deville convertible for one of those!

I love that Grand Prix, color and all. For years, I had no idea executive muscle existed, or at least not to that extent. A friend in high school had a 63 Catalina (389 with dealer installed tri-power) which he eventually parted out due to extreme rot. He bought another low mileage 63 a few years ago. It was on a trip with him to the local vintage Poncho parts hoarder that my eyes were opened to what manufacturers were doing. The guy had a 64(? been a while) Grand Prix that had every option under the sun - power windows (regular and vent), AM/FM, A/C, power seats, etc. For quite a while, I harbored the thought of buying one and adding any options it didn't have. I didn't realize at the time the 300 was Chrysler's answer. Big HP, all the same options, but the engines and suspensions I've messed around with on and off for years. I was sold! :eek:s_dancing2:

And I meant to add - love the reverse light as well!! I'd forgotten about those. I learned to drive a stick on my dad's 69 Roadrunner, which had the same light. The shifter was super tight and that little light was nice to see when I was just getting started and wanted to be sure I was about to go backwards!
