Here we have my families Chrysler 300 ragtop. It is located in a small community outside Toronto. I rode in this car to Moparfest 2012 & it was an exciting time. This vehicle has been painted once in its original color. Its a 2 owner car that has documentation back to new. The 300 has been garaged its entire life and was the prize possession of its second owner, who purchased it from a collection in 1984. I have owned over 300 cars and airplane pilots keep machinery in excellent condition. This 300 is no exception. Even in his later years the pilot kept the Chrysler fastidiously maintained. It was always started once a month and never driven in inclement weather. The battery was replaced when needed, the oil and fluids were always changed on schedule. The car runs superb, never fails to start, and holds a charge.

Sloppy repaint, but inside Panels seem to be ziebarted.

I like the later Chrysler wire wheelcovers on this. Looks like what might have been, if these were available back in the day. I'd have to ditch the flex-hose and the red heater hoses, and detail the engine compartment. Bad thing about Ziebarting is the mess it leaves behind, but it does seem to work. I've had a couple of cars that have had that and look fine after many years.

It has the ever famous upper rad flex hose!!!

I think what happens if they go into the parts store to get a hose and ask for a hose for a car without AC and the say it doesn't exist. They end up with the flex hos when the AC hose will work. I'm not sure this is the case here but I do know the upper hose on my 67 Barracuda is the same as the AC cars and not like the original non AC cars.

Well at least he got a flex hose with a color matching orange stripe rather then the green stripe Gates flex hoses. Just barely though...

Wait he also says unrestored at the top of his auction. I do believe that a repaint no longer qualifies a car as unrestored especially a very sloppy one seen here.

That repaint looks orange to me....not T5, which would be very nice on this.

I'm surprised this thing doesn't have the squared off radiator in it like most other models, what was the reasoning to use a different radiator?

this one has a 22" radiator.
In C-bodies you often see a 26" radiator. They get it because they do have AC from the factory.

Cars with AC or a high performance axle packages get the 26" instead of 22"

That's interesting, I would have though all big block cars would get the bigger radiator.

Me too,....but nope! Example: All 70 Sport Fury GT, 440 6 BBL cars had a 22" radiator. RE: no A/C on 6 BBL!

A lot of Roadrunners have 22" radiators as well...unless you got an axle package or A/C, you got a 22". My '69 440HP Fury has a 22" as well.

It has the steering wheel from whatever 80.s Chrysler the wire wheel caps came from.

Looks orange to me but I like it.

And whats more curious is I have a 26in triple core radiator used in a small block car with no aircon.
