Gold on blk leather, huh? Great color combo, too bad there are no pics.

I hate no pic ads. Some sound very tempting. And then you get there and its absolutely nothing like the ad says....."tad bit of surface rust on left rear qtr pnl".....you get there and the qtr panel looks like swiss cheese. Nothing is more infuriating.

Gold Imperial coupe!!! :yaayy:

I'm on.. (even though it's not a 70, the 69 has them AWFULLY cool "shark gill style side markers", that almost make up for the few things I like better on the 70 )..

Called once already - reached his answering machine... Will call again, and follow up here..!

Sounds interesting! The first '69 coupe here since I bought mine over a year ago... would love to see some pics!

Calling again now.. Will ask for pics, and fender tag ! :-D

EDIT: Answering machine again..! :-/

PS: Maybe I should catch up on reading your very interesting "Imp mega-thread", waiting to call this guy again! :-D

Very interesting Imp! I hope we get to see some pictures!

I sent them a text message for pics.... we'll see what happens....

Cool.. I just called him and left a message, and mentioned that if he'd send you pics, I would see them as well.

I am very excited.. "Stored for many years" could mean a lot.. like "forgotten in leaky barn", but I have hopes that it's good!

Anyone else than me really looking to buy ? :)

Me too!

I am trying to keep my excitement down, as I have yet to recover fully from the car-pain caused by missing out on that white 70 coupe, from Colorado..!

If this Imp has buckets, my wife's probably gonna say a lot of stuff, to which I am not going to listen all that much !

Not I. Just trying to help with the pics so interested parties can see what there looking at.

Thanks.. It seems like who ever he replies to, we will all see some pic's..

Funny how this "possible C-Body purchase" makes my heart move around in my chest, just as felt when: "falling in love" or.. "getting pulled over by the police in old trashy car with subsequent chance of strike in drivers license, long walk home, huge fine, or maybe even confiscated license plates"...

He got back to me. He said he doesn't have any pics yet. And would like to sell the car local so it can be seen in person. I replied, can you take some and send to me? I also said I don't have a problem going to see the car... but would like an idea of its condition first. He may not be willing to get pics...
Are there any members local? ?

Thanks for the info!

Hit again, by the curse of being to far away.. :-/

So, I probably wont hear anything from him.. and flying 12-14 hours on "hope" alone, is not in my budget! :-(

I really hope to see some pictures anyways.. :)

Don,t expect to much ............
It,s for sale in a salty airea.......:icon_sad:,but you never know.

My was stored for over 32 years... it could mean a lot! ;) From my experiance, ask for rodents!!! The biggest damage on my car was made by mice... and it also came from the rust belt.

Thanks guys.. although it does not seem like the seller is very keen on doing anything but a "show and sell" kind of a sale, so it probably stops right there.. Unless there's a kind member in the area, who is willing to do the trip, and get some more info.

I never understood that "no pictures / minimal communication mentality".. thus obviously loosing substantial profit, in exchange of having maybe half the communication, and not having to "shoot shoot shoot ~ upload upload upload".. But lets face it.. it's a MUST when selling a car.. With all the variables in such a deal.. condition, color, equipment, options and so on.. one got's to do the pictures, and suddenly one got's a 10 times better chance of selling fast and at the best possible price!

BTW: His answering machine said "KJSKJSDHF (something) Lawn care".. so maybe it's a car he spotted on a property while "lawning", and could be selling for the lawn owner.. but, as one of my favorite sayings go: "Assumption is the mother of all f*ck-up's", so unless he forks over some info and pictures, I guess we'll never know..

As for now, Kasper from Denmark is VERY sad !
(and his money is right back on Carsten's black beauty :-D )
